My main research interests lie in the design of mathematical models and algorithms to estimate, equalize and synchronize communication signals. Research areas include massive (cell-free/distributed) massive MIMO systems, physical-layer security, novel waveforms for wireless, optical fiber and fiber-wireless communications.
Most recent works focus on the design of techniques for reducing energy consumption in telecommunications.
I actively collaborate with the Centre Tecnològic Telecomunicacions Catalunya (Castelldefels, Spain), the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, U.S.A.) and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (Tokyo, Japan).
